Movie: Desiree (1954)

Jean Simmons and Marlon Brando star in this Historical Romance Classic. Would you sacrifice your ambitions of power and marry the one you want? Napolean wouldn't.
Marlon Brando plays Napolean to perfection, completely overshadowing Jean simmons' mediocre performance as Desiree, Napolean's former fiancee. He displays all the ambition, arrogance and charisma that made Napolean ascend to the throne of France. This movie is the classic love triangle with Desiree, the one she loves, Napolean and the one who loves her(Bernadotte).
As Napolean abandons her to marry Josephine, she marries Bernadotte a man who is madly in love with her. When Napolean meets his Waterloo, Bernadotte sends his wife to ask Napolean to renounce his citizenship.

The final meeting between the former lovers is the best part of this movie.
