Loading...This is one of the better retellings of the OK Coral gunfight. It features Kurt Russel as a moustached Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer as the quick handed drunk, Doc Holiday. As Earp and his family come to settle in Tombstone, a small town in Arizona, a group of outlaws who call themselves 'the Cowboys' also move in. Guess what! The town is not big enough for the cowboys and the Earps! Kurt Russel plays a much better Earp than Costner who made 'Wyatt Earp'. around the same time.
The best and perhaps the most overlooked performance was from Val Kilmer who makes a great Holiday! True to his legend, Holi brings out the hero in Earp and persuades him to follow his passion. The gunfight in the end is well choreographed. This flick is a must for those who like Westerns.
