Full Moon Winter Ale

This is the winter version of the Blue Moon White Belgian Ale, an offering from Molson Coors Brewing Company.

It is smooth and heavy like most winter ales and not as sour as the original. I prefer the original Blue Moon, though this one is OK.

Belgian Whites

Both beers featured here are Belgian Whites. On the right is Blue Moon, brewed in Toronto. On the leftis Hoegaarden, the real deal, made in Belgium. Both are brewed with spices, and are sour, but the Hoegarden is my clear choice. Its flavor is more delicate.

The label on its back suggests pouring 2/3rd of the contents into a glass and then swirling the remainder before adding it to the glass. I tried it. It tastes even better that way.
